Jerrold Solomon Attorney Principal
No attorney in the country has been directly involved in more OSHA enforcement cases than has Jerry Solomon, who heads OSHAstrategies. Jerry has been responsible for thousands of OSHA litigation cases over a 31-year career with the U. S. Department of Labor. He has been the chief legal adviser to OSHA Regional Administrators providing legal interpretations and developing enforcement strategies and tactics.

Jerry Solomon has been directly engaged in OSHA litigation since OSHA’s beginning in 1971. No one has been involved in more OSHA trial cases. On behalf of OSHA, Jerry has tried dozens of cases himself. He has advised OSHA Area Directors and Regional Administrators for the last 20 years on strategies for OSHA’s investigations, citations, and penalties for hundreds of major cases. He has supervised OSHA’s trial attorneys in their trial strategies and tactics, settlement demands, and negotiations for thousands of OSHA cases. He has trained OSHA trial attorneys around the country, and has been a principal trainer for hundreds of today’s federal and state compliance officers in how to conduct their inspections so they will be prepared for trial. He has been the confidential legal adviser for significant and “egregious” cases for 4 of OSHA’s current Regional Administrators. He recently left government service as Supervisory Trial Attorney (OSHA Counsel) for the Boston, MA office of the Department of Labor’s Regional Solicitor. Edward J. Bajakian Certified Safety Professional
Ed Bajakian was an OSHA Compliance Officer for 15 years and a Regional Safety Engineer for 6. He also served for 9 years as Northeast Safety and Occupational Health Manager for the US Fish and Wildlife Service. He possesses a professional engineering degree and is a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers. Since 2001 he has been an Occupational Safety and Health consultant to private industry, providing safety and health program evaluation and assistance and training. He has particular expertise in areas involving machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and workstation design, and in the development and implementation of accident prevention programs.

Paul Cyr Safety Specialist Affiliate
For 11 years Paul was one of OSHA’s premier compliance officers developing some of the most significant “egregious” cases in Region 1. He served as an Area Office supervisor and manager, overseeing the work of safety specialists and industrial hygienists in their OSHA enforcement activities. He has investigated, and supervised the investigation of hundreds of workplace accidents and fatalities. He has been selected for numerous special assignments, including the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Prince William Sound, Alaska. For the last 3 years he was a safety specialist at OSHA’s national office in the Directorate of Compliance Programs where he provided technical assistance and enforcement advice nationwide. He was given unique duties in development and nurturing of OSHA’s Compliance Assistance Program, now a highly celebrated part of OSHA’s nationwide safety effort. He is a recognized national expert in industrial safety issues such as machine guarding and lockout/tagout, and for many years was OSHA’s foremost expert and ambassador to the industry for logging and forest-products safety training and enforcement.

Clayton D. Rose Certified Safety Professional
Affiliate Clay Rose was an OSHA Compliance Officer and Assistant Area Director for 20 years. He is a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, and of the National Fire Protection Association. He is an OSHA-authorized safety and health trainer. For the last 7 years he has been a successful occupational safety consultant providing training, performing accident investigations, engaging in on-site inspections for hazard identification and compliance in construction, manufacturing, and general industry. He was involved in OSHA’s earliest activities to implement an effective approach to ergonomic hazards in the workplace. He is frequently called upon as an expert witness in workplace accident cases.

Robert A. Rusczek Certified Industrial Hygienist
Affiliate Bob Rusczek began his 23-year career in occupational safety and health as an OSHA Compliance Safety and Health Officer in Hartford, Conn. He has a Masters degree in Industrial Health, and is both a Certified Industrial Hygienist and a Certified Safety Professional. He has extensive private-sector safety and health experience beginning as an industrial hygienist in a multifaceted chemical plant, and working his way up to Safety and Industrial Hygiene Superintendent where he managed safety, industrial hygiene, fire protection and security departments for a large chemical manufacturing and research facility. For the past 13 years Bob has been the principal in his own safety and industrial hygiene consulting company providing comprehensive programs and regulatory management services for an extensive array of clients here and abroad.

Rick Kaletsky Safety Consultant
Rick Kaletsky worked for OSHA for 20 years, serving as compliance officer (safety specialist) and assistant area director. A self-employed safety consultant since 1992 Rick specializes in hazard recognition and abatement, site inspection, accident investigation, and citation resolution. He has conducted a wealth of OSHA-type, “hands-on” comprehensive inspections and training sessions. He consults for manufacturers, construction firms, and many other businesses. He frequently works with attorneys and has given depositions on many occasions. Rick has made training videos and has authored hundreds of safety articles published in magazines and newsletters. He is the author of “OSHA Inspections: Preparation and Response” (updated/enhanced 2006 10th printing, published by the National Safety Council), a step-by-step guide to the entire OSHA process.
